Unlike a modern car, the Model A has its fuel tank where the dash is. The fuel filler cap is located in the center of the "cowl" immediately in front of the windshield.
It is usually necessary to hold the vapor boot up by hand. Modern gas pumps that are equipped with a vapor boot will not dispense fuel unless the boot is compressed.
The Model A tank's unique design means that the fuel flow will not automatically stop when it is full.
